Man killed in road accident near Bruff

He was John Sheehan who was single and had just moved out to live in the Murroe area.

He was originally from the Pennywell area of Garryowen.

The incident happened shortly after six o’clock last evening when a van struck him while out walking.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardai at Bruff are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them on 061 382940.

Mr Sheehan`s death brings to 17 the number of fatalities on Limerick roads so far this year.
