Woman killed in Bruff collision

A woman has died following a road accident in BruffThe woman, a cyclist in her 40s, was hit by a car on the Bruff to Kilmallock Road, near Uregare at 6.50am.Her body has been removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.The road, which was closed for most ofthe day, has reopened after a technical examination. GardaĆ­ have named the woman who was killed in the crash.49-year-old Carmel O’Brien from Sheerin’s Cross, Kilmallock died after her bike was struck by a car shortly before seven am.GardaĆ­ are appealing for any witnesses to contact Bruff Garda Station on 061-382940.
